The Ekalavya Foundation was founded in 2006 by Shri. P. Venu Gopal Reddy, an eminent social worker dedicated to helping marginalized communities become self-reliant. The Foundation’s pioneering work initially focused on tribal communities in Adilabad district and encompassed education, health, livelihoods, and agriculture activities. A crucial aspect of the Foundation’s approach is engaging local villagers as partners in the conception, planning, and execution of activities for long-term sustainability.

Today, the Ekalavya Foundation’s impact extends across 13 districts in Telangana & Andhra Pradesh benefiting more than 15000 farmers and 25000 students every year. The Foundation’s team is organized project-wise, with regular reporting to leadership at the cluster and headquarters level. With approximately 80+ employees and over 1000+ volunteers, the Foundation is active in various projects, including Natural Resource Management, People’s Collective, Agriculture, Education, Health, Livelihood.

Through its sustained efforts, the Ekalavya Foundation has made a significant contribution to improving the lives of marginalized communities and fostering self-reliance.
